Important Information for Consumers Before Purchasing Solar & Solar Batteries
If you’re considering installing solar panels or a solar battery, it’s essential to understand your rights and the standards set by the New Energy Tech Consumer Code (NETCC). This code ensures transparency, fairness, and quality in the solar industry.

    Key Things to Know:
Reputable Providers – Choose an accredited NETCC-approved seller to ensure ethical sales practices and high installation standards.

    • Clear & Honest Quotes – Always receive a written quote detailing system performance, costs, warranties, and finance terms.
    • Consumer Protections – You have the right to clear pre-sale information, fair contract terms, and cooling-off periods.
    • System Performance & Safety – Be aware of how your system should perform and any maintenance required for optimal efficiency.
    • Warranty & After-Sales Support – Ensure your system comes with a reliable warranty and after-sales service from a trusted provider.
    • Government Incentives & Rebates – Check for available incentives and ensure they are correctly applied to your purchase.
    • Battery Safety & Compliance – If purchasing a solar battery, ensure it meets Australian safety and performance standards.
